Wild Swans, with one of the best selections of Scandinavian Fashion in London, has now opened a sister shop in Cross Street, Islington, less than one year after opening in Devonshire Road, Chiswick.
The Danish owner, Caroline van Luthje, chose both locations because of the village feel, individuality and small communities that both streets carry in abundance.
The Islington shop has a bright, soothing ambience that reflects contemporary Scandinavian style and sensibility, and people come from all over North London and even further to visit Wild Swans.
The name comes from the fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Wild Swans" and perfectly describes the range of Designers as well as the customers "Beautiful, gracious birds with a bit of an edge."
The selection of labels is constantly evolving, a mix of up and coming Designers, with the more established ones. The designs range from romantic to funky and feminine, contrasting with the masculine, allowing for greater individual expression.
The labels include Malene Birger, the award winning Danish Designer, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, The feminine Stella Nova, funky Rutzou, girly Muus, the quirky Norwegian Maggie Wonka and affordable CCDK. Other brands are Tara Jarmon, American Vintage and Mauvette Philips.
Wild Swans also has a great range of shoes and boots for A/W from Bili Bi's classic riding boots, Sofie Schnoor's funky boots and shoes and Ilse Jacobsen's practical but trendy wellies.
In Jewellery you will find beautiful contemporary pieces from Danish Julie Sandlau and Jane Konig and Swedish Promise, all with very different styles to suit any occasion and budget.
